Well, finally some news (good news for corp users, not for gamers). Rats! Looks like your right Vic20.

Listen up folks! The AIW Radeon is the card I got to replace my G400 Dual Head and to say that I'm satisfied would be an understatemnet! WOW! The features of the card, performance, and flexibility ( all except dual head of course) makes it worth every dime!

      Ooops!

Please excuse me my VCR tape of Robotech just got finished being copied to my hard drive. Now it can be converted to MPEG1 format and put on a CD to be watched in most set top DVD players.

Feels good to be back in the technological swing of things! LOL!!

Have fun trying to get some games to run at the right refresh rates if you're using win2K, I read tons of post on www.rage3d.com. People using 3rd party utilities and all kinds of crap to work around the problem. It just like where the g400 was before the it had refresh rate support in win2k. LOL.
Pretty sad Radeon doesn't make a utility or something for refresh rate, but hey if they don't want as many customers as they could get then let them.

I see this on the 3dfx and nVidia forums as well. Too frequently.

Use DirectX's ability to force all games to use the same refresh rate. DxDiag in your program files folder.

You sure about OGL? AFAIK it uses DirectDraw an the underlying layer for system interaction and that is what DXDiag is setting up. I don't play OGL games so I can't test that. I set mine to 85Hz for everything since I can use that refresh up to 1280 and I don't use 1600 much.

Some time ago there was a rumour that the card would be anounced after DX8.

Perhaps Matrox waits with releasing the GXXX until everyone agrees on the AGP 8x specs.

                        Himself,

Yes, I am sure about opengl. That only only works for D3D API's.

                            Rags,

Am I missing something? AFAIK, you have to set OpenGL refresh rates on a per-application basis, in the application. At least, that's how it works on my machine...
