Matrox tech support acknowledges G800

That's all I was doing, then people jump on my back about it, which turns the thread into a flame war like with my 64mb radeon.

But me personally feel better since I heard it from matrox direct vs a website, so to me this only makes me feel better, for anyone else they would need to call tech support and ask the same question

It looked to me like Galvin asked about the board, but in general terms and without mentioning its name. Then the guy over the phone confirmed that a board of the description Galvin gave was being worked on and he referred to it as a G800.

I don't need to make excuses. I heard what I heard on the phone, can't get anymore clearer than that. When this card gets announce you'll be like wow he was right.

Jesus christ people get mad over G800, this is rediculas. Call tech support for yourself and ask and see what they say.

Guys, relax.

We've seen in many driver releases the names G800, Fusion and Condor. We know as a fact that such a chipset exists, whether on paper or physically. We also know that such a chipset has never been announces for any possible reason.
For us (consumers) if something isn't on the shelf, nor has been formally announced by the manufacturer = non existant, vaporware.
One day the G800 *might* come out, just like one dat the dinosaurs left and the human being came.
As much as I like Matrox's products, I'm not oging to wait for the next-gen card, once I have spare money and the price(s) seem right, I'll make my choice - with or without Matrox being an option.
