    Maggi,

Depends on how you look at it, if you want to play 3DMark2K a lot then the Athlon T&L scores are better, otherwise I kind of prefer the higher fps scores. Like I said these scores are a bit lower than I'm used to, I haven't bothered to restore my normal V3 drivers yet.

It's interesting that the software T&L gives the highest 1 light performance of all.

      yepitsme,

Not sure what you mean, you have two scores, one at 800x600 and one at 1024x768.

I'd put in my 2 cents, but my system decided to self-destruct on saturday evening.

Thanx for you intense feedback, Himself !!!

What immediately caught my eye when looking at your texture rendering scores was the extreme superiority of using those Athlon routines over hard- & software T&L !

            ...

            yepitsme:

thanx for throwing in your scores and make sure VSync is disabled, if it wasn't, rerun the tests and repost your scores.

            Cheers,

                Hi Maggi an Himself

                All scores are default

                Resolution 1024x768 16 bit
                Z-Buffer Depth 16-bit
                Frame Buffer Triple
                Refresh Rate V Sync.Off
                CPU Optimization Intel(R) Pentium(R) III

                Dual head disabled
                Apps running ( WIN98 )

                Explorer
                Pdesk
                Systray
                Em-exec

#dmark scores stay around 2250 no matter
what i do, setting FSB to 100x8 no difference, AGP to 1/1 or 2/3 same,
memory settings 2-2-2 to 3-3-3 same,
                Powerdesk 16/32 no difference etc.

IRQ shared with "ACPI IRQ holder for PCI IRQ
                steering" ( IRQ 11 )

OK, i installed Powerstrip 3.0 b and it shows that default

                Engine clock is 217,04MHz

                and

                Memory clock 289,43MHz ???

I removed Powerstrip, downloaded and installed it again with same results,
not quite same as Maggis Ec&Mc,
so i tried overclock it slightly
( i think PS doesn't give real clockspeeds
but as they were at PS ) ec230/3dmark 2377,
240/3d 2473 points. So overclocking shows some results easily, but still this system is lacking around 10% of G450's scores.

                Interesting....

                Thanks again

Just to extend the "mine is bigger than yours" thread:
My G450 is at 189 MCLK, 151 GCLK for about 2 months now. Mounted a small fan on the heatsink (otherwise it was getting too hot). It also works at 183 MCLK and GCLK, bringing some more impressive results, but I decided not to push it that far on regular basis.

Those clock speeds above are default speeds that power strip gives = no any kind
                    overclocking.
I just would like optimize this system to
work properly, not over clock it. ( yet )

                    Thanks

Here i go again, new drivers installed and
                      seems like problems are gone.
                      Once again reinstalled powerstrip gives
default engine clock as 108MHz, in Maggis
post it was 125MHz. If i set it to 125MHz
                      everything looks to work allright.

well, if "overclocked" to 125MHz games
crash and i get graphics errors in
                        CFS2 and CMR 2.

Back to low defaults and slow games....

Thanks Matrox, this solved a lot:

We unfortunately cannot comment on this. but it is possible that clocks value are different depending on the revision of the card and dividers used. You might get more help at www.murc.ws on pin structures and values used.
