erm... integrated? matrox starting chipsets too/cooperating with chipset makers? via is out, ati is out, nvidia is out, leaves amd, but chipsets are not their core business, they're just there to boost cpu sales, that leaves intel, sis, and ali... sis and ali are crap, leaves intel.. intel is proprietary.. serverworks?

well, integrated graphics aren't really the best thing since sliced bread (i love that idiom.. quite funny ), so they're of minor interest to me (unless it's a matrox solution of course - i doubt they'd cripple system performance by integrating graphics using uma..)

Needless to say, Im going to buy the g800 haha

This could be interesting.

Imagine you buy a new computer, and it has a G800 intergrated on it. You are fine for speed for a while, but after a year or so its starting to feel a little slow.

We know (well, think we know) that the G800 is multi chip capable, so it might be possible to buy a G800 APG add on card that would give you a SLI type speed boost.

Imagine how much OEMs would love that. They could use the same Mobo for their normal systems as their high end systems, and that would cut testing times quite a bit, therefore saving them money.

You could even have different add on cards. If the intergrated G800 doesnt have T&L, then the mid end add on would just have another G800 and some RAM, and the high end would have a T&L engine and a G800 (or 3)chip, and lots more RAM.

I know I would buy it.
