So far people on this forum have created adverts for the card, done the box designs now we might as well go the full hog and build the card ourselves, probably quicker than waiting for Matrox

<I think Taz is onto something. Many a person has gotten rich by creating a company that's nothing more than a hype factory. Launch an IPO (well, right now isn't a very good time), cash in your millions, and let the company fold without ever having to hire engineers or build anything. Marketing at its finest! What shall we call it?>

Taz, if you supply the PCB, someone else supplies the blueprint, someone else supplies the iron to solder with, I'll supply the soldering iron

                          where do i get a 230gvolt outlet...
its always the same, you buy something new and you have to buy thousand little things to make it work...

argh, this speculation is killing me. i almost bought a radeon, but then i saw those new specs popping up everywhere. im not sure at all whether they are real (probably not), but i guess ill wait for antoher couple of weeks, at least till the kyroII comes out...

edit: i wonder why everyone is saying that the g550 will be something completly different than the g800 although the g800 never existed, neither were there any not-made-up specs, but whatever.
i also wonder why matrox put those g800 strings into their drivers when everyone was talking about the g550 by the time...
i also wonder why matrox doesnt announce anything (buhuhuhu )
i also wonder whether i was such a matrox fan before i entered this forum...

i think my problem is that if i buy something new it has to be the best, and since the g400max there wasnt anything "best" on the market, at least not in my opinion.
i think the reason i dont like the geforce is that it came out a couple of weeks after i bought my max
i think im writing BS here

PS: i actually tried a radeon 32ddr, and while it doesnt look worse than the max on my monitor (1152x7??) the speed increase wasnt as big as i had hoped, although i have to admit that giants was pretty cool. anyone know why giants doesnt support bump mapping on the g400? is it because it got dot3? why does it have dot3

I seriously think Matrox just puts those entries in the drivers so that they can come here and watch us speculate.
