I'm having trouble identifying this old Matrox PCI video card, and I need some quick help before I go home to school, which could be as soon as mid-tomorrow.
The card has the following information on it:
Main MGA chip:
Matrox MGA
Power Graphics
IS-STORM R2
9611EU025 (zero in front of the 25)
Main Texas Instruments Chip:
VIDEO
TVP3026
-175PCE
539979 9605BN
Same side on PCB:
Has yellow inventory sticker that says:
CAF90715
2826-A
Same side under yellow sticker is:
YRIGHT 1995 576-05 REV. B (obviously, the sticker is covering up part of COPYRIGHT)
Back side of video card has a few stickers on it:
1st Sticker:
HP P/N: 5063-8777
REORDER P/N: 5063-8798
2nd Sticker:
MGA-MIL/2/HP3 500
MFG P/N: 79075010170
S/N: CAF90715
MADE IN USA
The one time I've seen the card info before the computer started posting, I think I saw that it had BIOS VER. 1.9 on it, but I can't be sure.
I'm having trouble with it because many times if I reset the computer, it will not come up with a video image (also, I can here it not POSTing) and it will either sit and beep at me (single, evenly spaced beeps), or do nothing. Other times it will boot straight away though.
I just ordered the video card, so I'm hoping its not that.
Is there some sort of utility that will identify the video card from DOS?
Thanks!
Chuck
