          • .13 core already ready as i know, and here only one problem for pshaders in .15 parhelia - high count of trans. spend on realization. so, ps 2.0 requries a lot of addition trans, its to costly. as i know - PS is one of the bigest block on gf4 for sample...

here no problem with development, here only one problem - with normal cost of .13 production. nvidia start to produce nv30 by .13 tech with tmsc and co., but usual Matrox partner can do this only much later.

also i think some kind of Z optimization/compression present here, in parhelia. as a sample - its much easer to implement fragment AA.

interesting, who here know how zone AA performed. is there second pass or edge detection performed on the fly?

(explain: not to reach additional count of readers on our english site)

and we successfuly reach it... its all... relax. you discuss now about you dont know... it looks very funny...

              • I wonder how much software culling & bandwith saving can be implemented. for instance in quake 3 which does it some of its own the benefit of the hardware stuff is small.

edge AA sounds sweet , it must be done very well. With glyph AA it certainly will make desktop publishing/wordporcessing a lot quicker..... a video card that improves office benchmarks..hehe

one thing that I am wondering about is the memory interface..with the wide bus you can get away with using slower ram since you have effectively doubled its speed anyway, how will this compare with extra cost of the more complex PCB and chip interconnects.

                • I woudn't be surprised if we see the hi-end Parhelia Pro cards coming out later this summer and using .13 technology. I suppose that would imply PS 2.0 capability judging from what some of you have been saying.

                  • UncleSam, please stop slamming Ant. You're getting to be very boring.
Then again, you're right, it is kind of funny to watch someone like you discuss things you don't know about.
