Hope its not really July 15th, guess I should of preordered earlier in the week. Waiting two weeks after launch might suck. Hopefully if it is true, I can cancel and pick one up locally.

I am PU-21 (for Parhelia, US). As far as the shipping date, here is the response from Matrox Sales:

We are expecting to begin fulfilling pre-orders for the Parhelia product mid-July. Please review the terms and conditions of the pre-order at: http://shopmatrox.com/preOrder/usa/pre-order_terms.asp

Once we receive our stock, we will begin processing orders by verifying the credit card information and charging the amount due to the credit card that was submitted with the pre-order. If the verification passes (name and address verifies with the financial institution) and the credit card was NOT refused by the financial institution, the order will be shipped. Once Shopmatrox.com receives the tracking information from the warehouse, an email will be sent to the customer providing the tracking information.

Hmm that sucks I think if its really mid July. From the press release:

"At introduction, Matrox Parhelia graphics boards will be available with 128MB of DDR memory in both retail and bulk packaging. The retail packaged version of the Matrox Parhelia 128MB board will have an estimated street price of US $399 and both versions are expected to begin shipment by June 30th, 2002."

Maybe I'm not reading into this right, but it sounds like OEMs and retailers get theirs shipped around June 30th but preorders from shopmatrox.com wont be fullfilled for ~2 weeks after that?

Is there going to be a chance to pick up these cards at stores before they start working on their own shops preorders? Sort of defeats the purpose of preordering from them if they are shipping the cards out to retailers weeks before they fullfil preorders.

Hopefully, I'm just not reading this right.

Well if they don't ship the card until July 15th, I might cancel it if the stores have them before then. Hopefully I won't have to wait for another 2 more agonizing weeks. Not to sound like a 4 year old, but....I WANT IT I WANT I WANT IT....I WANT IT NOW!!! :P

PC2605. Because of some poor scripts on the final preorder page I ended up with three extra preorders they have to cancel. A couple of emails easily cleared that up.

I'm one of those that still has a G400 MAX and I can wait as long as it takes for the P.
