Mine was the 8MB Millennium back in 1996, this is the card that i sought out "The MURC" with. It's now happily chugging away in my Redhat Box.

I had an M3D for a while as well, not that you really want to admit to it...

Then came the 16MB G200 Millennium, currently in my partner's PC with a 12Mb Voodoo2

Current Card is the wonderful G400Max that i bought as soon as i could after they came out, and it's still going strong, well, as strong as possible for a card that's getting a little "old"

I'd imagine the MAX will be retired to Kelly's PC when the Parhelia finally arrives in Australia (Hopefully not months after everywhere else like some stuff)
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard, Intel Core i7 2600K CPU @ 4.3GHz, G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB DDR3 Ram, Pioneer DVR-219L DVDRW, OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD, Western Digital Black 1TB SATA HDD, Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB, Everything being driven by Windows 10 Professional (64Bit)...

First Matrox was:

G400MAX (replaced by GF3, still regret it, should've wait another year)

then

G200
G400

in other boxes.

Soon a parphelia, if I can find the money.
When I was still a kid, my parents got me a Packard Bell. I've never been happier. Now it's degraded to a foot support.

Aren't these nostalgic threads great?

For me:
various PCI cards
Mystique-170 4Mb(Never got a box - OEM)
SiS 6326
G200 8Mb(Never got a box - OEM)
G400 32MB DH (Still got retail box)
Rainbow Runner G-Series (Still got retail box)
Rainbow Runner Studio for the Mystique!(Got the retail box!)
G450 32MB DH (Still got retail box)
G550 32MB DH(Never got a box)
Parhelia 128MB TH(Never got a box)

I started my path with Matrox with the original 4MB Mystique-170. I bought it the day it became available in the country and it was fantastic! I really impressed all my friends with games such as MechWarrior (2?). Stayed with me for a good while.
Then I bought the SiS 6326 - biggest mistake I've made in computing! I believed the hype about it being better than 2 Voodoo II's NOWHERE NEAR!
Then I got a G200 and my faith in Matrox was restored - infact I've had a few of these and one is in my older brother's PC and another in my dad's PC.
Then I became a BB and got the G400 which was fantastic!
Eventually replaced by a G450 for a very short while, then went back to the G400, the G450 going into my work's PC (Still there!) Then we got the G550 which I've had up until a few weeks ago when I received the Parhelia.

I think Parhelia will be staying in my PC for a fair while yet

ah yeah, forgot to say the G400+RRG is in my younger brother's machine where he messes with video editing, and I still have the Mystique+RRS around somewhere. Some say this was the best video card Matrox ever made, up until Parhelia of course!

Mine was a Matrox Milliennium 2 MB WRAM which I bought back in 1996 for $325.00. Later added the 6MB memory module add-on for another $200.00. So based on what the Parhelia is offering us 6 years later I would say the $400.00 price tag is a pretty good deal.

Sorry for being blunt and off topic - but that's just b*ll*x everything in PC land was hugely expensive back then (especially RAM) - now it isn't any longer..... so please don't try to sound like a hard-done-by salesman

Good god, I think I paid £300 for 8MB of RAM around that time.... and my P133 OUCH
Cheers, Reckless

*Mystique 4MB Retail (Boosted my P75 to incredible levels for only 230$) + 4MB uppgrade :-) for 23$ 4 years later!
M3D (Sad story and expensive )
Millennium G200 8mb sdram oem + 8mb upgrade module

My first Matrox card was the original Millenium with 4MB of WRAM. This was an upgrade from a VideoSeven (forget the name of the card, but it was a screamer then) with 2MB of VRAM (remember them?). I still have the Millenium in a drawer here.
Homebuilt Intel P3 933 Mhz, 512 Mb RAM, ASUS CUSL2-C MB, 400w TruePower Antec PS, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, WD 160 Gb Spec Ed HD, Yamaha 20x10x40 SCSI Rewritable, Toshiba 12x DVD, Parhelia 128 (replaced a G400MAX), Win XP Pro SP1 w/latest patches

Matrox Millenium with 2MB WRAM.

Aaaah, the good old days...

Its now in my Firewall PC (Gnatbox Lite).
(Yes, the card is fully operational since 1997 (?), when I bought it.)

I've still got the original driver disks and manual to it...Both are still in excellent condition.

During the evolving 3D game market, I supplement the Millenium with a Diamond Monster 3D (3dFx Voodoo 1) with 4MB for the 3D games I used to play. (Another obsolete relic, still in excellent condition.)

I found a second hand store that has the same model Matrox Millenium in stock for $17 Aussie Dollars (About $6 US dollars). I might get another for a FreeBSD box. (for learning BSD and firewalls)

My first Matrox was Millennium 4 MB, back in 01/'96.
I still got it, and I'll use it for my 2nd system. Very nice Linux support ( X11, FB console).
