Matrox produces another card that "needs to be explained" instead of releasing one that needs no explaination.

HAHAHA this is hilarious. The first benchmark he shows is villagemark, to "see whether Parhelia suffers by not having early occlusion tech" Somehow, he is able to draw a conclusion from this data, although he has shown no other benchmarks yet!!! He has NOTHING to compare it too!!!

Yeh, pretty much gets slaughtered. In the places where it comes close, the frames per second are too low anyways. Seems the conclusion is wait for next Matrox card...

i am VERY dissapointed by the UT2003 scores the 8500LE is as fast as the P, and costs 300$ less it makes ~60FPS at 1024x768x32 in one and 54FPS at the the same resolution in another level. i dont see how one could possible play UT2003 on three screens with ~20FPS average

That says it all, all those claims how wel it runs nex generation engines, well the 'good old' GF4Ti is the only one that realy delivers.

I'm very dissapointed too as UT2003 concerns

It seems that there is some part of the screen in UT2003 where there is no FAA16x

It's strange that anand did not notice that

Wish he would have thrown up some higher-res benches.

                      Oh dear

I've been eating hat thinking that the Parhella was actually fast ....

Unfortunately, It just isn't competing well in areas that it should do well in. And this is against cards with 128-bit memory buses and less sophisticated cores.

                      I wasn't expecting a GF4 killer, but this is a joke.
