It's not really going for extreme-cheap as going for extreme-small. These Shuttle boxes are tiny.
I see no oxymorons.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Well "problem" is with Shuttle boards is Everything is intergrated into the board, only upgrade options is a PCI slot and AGP slot...Question is does a fully intergrated board want more power then a Board that has all the same perferals added to it via PCI or a video card in AGP? Or less?
Anyway in my case I'm only Testing the Parhelia for shits n' giggles in it. Its my first Intel based PC in almost 2 years so I'm interested in how it performs. A Radeon AIW 8500DV is going to be the primary Video card in it to fill its Role as a HTPC/File Server/LAN box/Secondary PC.
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
I was thinking more of you breaking out the dictionary. I see potential problems, but no oxymorons.
I know it doesn't negate the power requirements, but they don't have much choice in the way of PS. I don't think they could get a more powerful one in that space if they wanted to.

Dictionary will not help you in this case... tho common sense will.
If you're going to offer any advice then do so by suggesting the following...
Find out what the power reguirements of the MB is, add up the peak power consumption of the HD/CD/DVDrom drives are and all other devices attatched and that of the CPU under full load.
Depending on what they intend to install this might actually be feasible, but until then don't pull that caca with me, Mr. Scientific. It's always better to be safe than sorry, wouldn't you agree?

Anyhow, I haven't had any problems with my Parhelia on my 250w system. Except of course Neverwinter Nights crashing, but that happens to everyone. Besides it's not so much as the point of being cheap, as more along the lines of I bought the Parhelia and now I'm too damned poor to buy a new Power Supply. Eventually I plan on upgrading my whole system. (aside of course the Parhelia and my SCSi devices).
