Switching to plug-and-play for the Viewsonic did not help.
Upgrading to the latest 102.00.042 drivers (release date 10/28/02) didn't help.
The Viewsonic is connected directly to the "A" DVI output via a DVI-D to DVI-D cable.

Why don't you:
1/uninstall all VGA/screen drivers
2/install the P as VGA
3/install _one_ vx2000 as flat panel 1600*1200
4/re-install the P drivers
5/see if it works@1600*1200 (try DVI-I or HD-15 cables as well)
6/try to install the rest
Also, update whichever version of windows you have, disable any programs/applets/thingies that load with windows.
the manual for my 210ts' says that the max res in digital is 1280 x 1024 @ 60 hz. after contacting tech support they said that the manual was wrong and that i should be able to use 1600 x 1200 @ 60 hz, so i had them email me the latest driver. my slider still didn't go to 1600 x 1200, so i installed the analog driver and then turned right around and installed the digital driver and now my slider maxes out at 1600 x 1200...all is well. i don't know if that would work for you.

i am using the samsung dvi cables that came with the panels
I have officially given up and gone analog.
Thank you everybody for trying to solve my problem.
My brother, my firm's techie, Viewsonic, Matrox, and even my wire company tried all of your suggestions but with no luck.
Even in analog I will have a kick ass set-up!
Imagine three 20 inch LCD's at 1600x1200.
Three is better and BIGGER than one!
In bed as well (so I'm told).
