    (sourround-gaming, 16FAA, ...)
and it is advertised on gamersites (planet unreal,...)

Secondly there where W98-drivers promised and then dropped.

Imho because of these two points Matrox has lost a lot buyers, maybe they should reconsider bringing out some W98-2D-drivers (at least betas)...
There are more W98-users as you think
Yeah, but honestly why would you spend the money on a Parhelia and run programs that were not written to properly support the Win32 API? seriously... either the app is well over 2 years old and developed by a small shop for running on a certain platform... or its just plain horribly written... ideally the only apps that won't work correctly under Windows 2000 and XP are the ones that do direct access to the hardware or to the filesystem, for what ever reason... apps like that probably don't need a video card near as powerful as the Parhelia... and Matrox has a card that will work for you right here. its fully supported under Win9x, and costs 1/3rd of the amount that a Parhelia does...

i think what the people at matrox really need is encouragment..... lets try sending them letters of such nature instead of boobytraped ones... its true that the manegment is screwing up but nobody is perfect (this is where my litle sis would jump in and say "so i am nobody" ) but really..... look at the environment they are in .... Nvidia Snakes and ATI sharks....... they must be scared out of their wits.... thats why we need to give them encouragment...

I don't think any of that would help. If what vigil says is true, that no one has gotten a raise for 3 years, owners giving away 20 million, hockey rink being built, etc, then a complete idiot would still be loyal. Heck, according to his sources, people are leaving without even finding a job. That alone should be waking up upper managment. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone is just waiting for a chance to leave matrox becuase of all this crap. If managment has been screwing up for all these years, then a complete overhaul of upper managment and the owners have to be done.

            hi,
sorry, but you are confusing my point a little bit.
I certainly don´t need the Parhelia for that.
But i need the Parhelia also for that!
The majority of apps (and games) run with no Problem under W2000.

            One ex:
every month we are having a LAN at the weekend and we play C&C Red Alert.
I really tried everything, but i couldn´t get it to work with W2K
These LANs are really great fun, i don´t want to miss them
