    Voted hit...

Now I wait for my local dealers to get the cards... I'm definitely getting one if not two cards when they'll be available....
    Thumbs up Matrox!

The P-Series looks like a logical successor to the G550, and that is (at the moment) a good thing.
Are you sure about that Tempest? With M selling 500k G550's to Compac for $10 each was a bank busting deal. Of course that is better than collecting dust in a warehouse because no OEM would touch them otherwise.

      Cheers!

And Compaq resells them for $200 each

Anyway, the P650 is really interesting for machines that no gaming is needed, i.e. my up coming secondary system
        P4 Northwood 1.8GHz@2.7GHz 1.65V Albatron PX845PEV Pro
Running two Dell 2005FPW 20" Widescreen LCD
And of course, Matrox Parhelia | My Matrox histroy: Mill-I, Mill-II, Mystique, G400, Parhelia

I might get one of them to replace my g400 if they do as well in games as a Geforce4MX440 (this is good enough for me i dont need Gf4Ti or ati9700 performance ).

I really miss the marvel series though.. if only MilleniumP has one of the Marvel variant

Definitely a hit for video editors. Good gamma correction is a must with a triple head card. Parhelia was just too expensive, so the P750 will be in my PC when it becomes available. Good job Matrox.

I think I'll be getting a pair of P650's and my grandma will get a P750.

Sounds like a hit to me.
Let us return to the moon, to stay!!!

                Replacement for G450/550

Considering some original Millennium CAD fame still sticks with Matrox brand and that the drivers are mature, I'd say it's a hit.

Considering that the comparable Quadros are almost twice as expensive as Millennium P650 and P750, it could be a hit in CAD market.

Cheap (cost effective) dual DVI 1200x1600 at the right moment - great.

As for dual/triple-head desktops, if one realizes Matrox quality, tech support and warranty, I'd say the price can be justified.

                Broader product line - good.
                I'd say it's a hit.

Now bring on the Marvel P750 and Parhelia II.

Unsure, but I have a bias view... coz i simply want a good gaming solution. (Waiting for Pitou) However, I really thing the P750 is a very solid solution for business and entry level work stations!

                      Que?

I think Matrox are currently imposing a price premium greater than their brandname commands. Sure, the P650 is nice...but how much better is it than my G400 MAX? Not worth £150...

They are attractive I suppose, just of questionable value. Perhaps it will actually retail closer to £100...

The P750 looks like the card for me. If it cost the same as the P650, and was passively cooled, I would be happy.

Until there are cards on the market, then I cant say if its a hit or miss. The Parhelia is still selling for over NZ$1000 here, whereas you can get a 9700Pro for NZ$750. If the P series has the same price dis-advantage to others then I dont see it doing well. If I can get a P750 for ~NZ$450 then I'll have it. The P650 is no use to me, as our G400 and G450s are still going strong.

I might be a normal(ish) customer for Matrox. Most of our computers here at work run two screens. We are slowly upgrading to flat panels, so the old CRT monitors are becoming secondary heads for everybody.

Those of use who didnt already have G400s in our machines have been upgraded to G450 PCI cards. For what we do they are fine (finance).

Im ready for three screens now (more room with the LCDs), and will be pushing for a P750, and the guys above me in the chain of command always want what I have.

                        Ali

Sounds like a hit, but until I see its real performance figures I will stick with my "unsure" vote

For the target market I'm sure it will be a hit. So: well done M.
Whether or not I belong to the target market depends on the 3D perf. I play games sometimes, but I wonder how these cards will handle those. Can we see some whitepaper?
