I can also say that I have had my share of TV out cards and the g450 looked to have the most potential (stupid TV refused to work in colour.
But a notable failure was the GF4 ti4400. Even in s-video this thing sucked.
The kyro 2 was awesome but for some reason it had a problem where by the pc would not boot if the tv was plugged in. Very anoying.
So I sawped to a 9100 64mb for two reasons. 1) I needed a change as I was getting very anoyed with my kyro2's boot failure. 2) I had never had a ATI card before and even though I know the 9700 (at the time) was awesome, I was not certain about the drivers, so I figured I would get a cheap radeon just to test out the drivers. The result is that even in composite (I neglected to notice in the shop that it did not have s-video) it is the clearest of all the cards, and the result of reason two is I will never buy another Nvidia card again.
But you should not forget s3. S3 have dont a lot of tv cards in the past for corporate use and are apparenly quite good.
Oh I wonder if there is a correlation in the fact that nvidias tv out sucks and they are a califonia company - beach, sunny, why watch tv? And ATI/Matrox with great tv out are canadian companies - Cold, Cold, Cold, Perhaps we should watch more tv.
But my perspective is slighly skewed being over here in australia
