Hey, as long as linux is fully supported this time around.... I won't buy another Matrox card until it is. Well, I won't buy another card in that case... since can't live without my three monitors now, and I love Surround gaming...

Longhorn can bite my shiny metal ass! (as Bender would say) I never plan on using it at all. At the going rate, the world is going to end before it's out anyway

Well we can start guessing the featureset.
1.) It will be PCI-Express because this is the upcomming Interface this year.
2.) It will be PCI-Express because Matrox bought a new hw design tool end of last year that also delivered some speed improvement on the old Parhelia core.
3.) It will be PCI-Express...no just a joke! It will be fully DX9, because Matrox had enough time to look into it and a DX10 is not in sight...not even for Longhorn.
4.) It will be faster than the Parhelia. How much depends on the hw design tool, because matrox is lacking hw designers.

        (3) Hopefully. They've had some time and some very good DX9 games are starting to appear.

You know.. that answer was sufficiently vague that you could actually be referring to fixing a broken toilet in the Matrox men's room.

As much as it can drive us crazy sometimes, Haig is very good at what he does.

Is Summer when the part will be shipped ? (I assume the release date will be earlier, May maybe).

Well you see, Haig's comment is very easily decrypted. Of course it's not about the release date. Summer is 6 letters, just like "GeeWiz!", which is what you'll say because it's so damn fast.

On the other hand, summer also rhymes with bummer.

how long of a wait was there from the time Matrox released the G200 to the G400 ? 2 years ?

It will be 2 years from the time Parhelia was released (announced) to this coming summer. Maybe we are in for a shocker. No wait, what am I thinking, this is Matrox.
