    1600x1200, faa+aniso,
    300/390.
    flyby = 36.34
    botmatch = 25.5.

    Personally i dont see the downside of overclocking. The ram is 2.8ns, so will be good for 357Mhz at its in spec spped, and as greebe said the core is supposed to clock to 300Mhz. Ill post a few benchies at stock anyway.

      AT LAST!
      (do I need to say 'what did I teel ya?' )

      but why matrox so late?? why why why?

      umh... I also got a new job so, 3x TFT and parhelia 8x, here I come!

      borat: the reason why you can't post 3dmark result, is the fact that 3dmark does not probaply recognize the card. I am using all my possible contacts to futuremark, get they add it asap.

      and oh yeah... damn I want that card! Even if it would be slower than my 970 nonpro, I still want it. I waited and hyped it way to long just to pass it.

        This is exciting news..

        Lately I have been looking hard for a new card to upgrade my current original Parhelia 128MB.

        So far, I have been considering:
        -3dlabs Wildcat (But I hear they suck at gaming)
        -Parhelia 256MB

        And I have seen no other good alternatives.. Until now.

        But what I really want to see is a comparative benchmark between the Origianl Parhelia and the new one. (Same computer, driver, ++)

        If this is ~15-20% faster than the original then I will seriously consider ordering this.

          Thank you, I'm just not an overclocker and I don't want to loose my warranty .

                  1600x1200
                  flyby = 64.53
                  botmatch = 42.35

                  quite odd because a 20% overclock is yeilding very little extra gaming performance here if you compare to my 300/390 results.

                      un-overclocked it is running at a bit lower than a 9600 Pro (perhaps around the speed of the GeForce4 Ti 4600 That it was supposed to directly compete against), but overclocked it is running about the speed of a 9600 XT... in that game, of course.

                      Is it still at 2x the cost?

                      (*converts the cost*) thats, uhhh... about $44 ($443.549 USD)more than MSRP because of VAT, and, well, i was able to find my Parhelia for even cheaper than that when it was brand new.

                      its good to see Matrox is keeping predictable business habits

                        Well, I know someone at Matrox has to be reading this thread. (Haig?) Everyone wants a comparative review between original Parhelia and P8x, so I officially extend my invitation to Matrox to send me a P8x (for keeps! ) to write a review for MURC.

                          3DMark 2001SE results should be here as soon as Worm get his physical existence back to the Espoo Office of Futuremark. in the phone he sounded as suprised as most of us, and promised to publish compare url ASAP tomorrow.

                          So, it looks like something in the card IDs has been changed since it didn't allow publishing results.

                              and the other side, notice how the core is very much smaller than the old card, flip chip packaging would tie in with what nappe said - very reliable information you had there. the baor has many subtle changes, including 2 fan connectors - maybe for a multi copre QID type card to be made from a similar PCB? just specualting there. the memory is hynix 2.8ns.

                                is it manufactured in 130nm?
                                which clocks are default?
                                is a kind of Occlusion Z Culling and/or a kind of Crossbarmemory controller implemented in there?

                                Are you for shure about fixed FAA? For realizing it a big modify in the architecture would be neccessary.

                                What did MGA in the last 2 years?
                                How about R&D Ressources @MGA?

                                Many questions...I hope ya have some answers for me.
                                Thx
