Yeah, but unfortunately nobody ever really used the dual channel implementation, even though it was available if you used two SiliconImage 163B receivers. So instead you're stuck using more than 1 connector, as a single maxes out at 2 megapixel true color 60Hz. Correct, you don't go through the ramdacs for DVI-D. Same with that 9MP panel, its digital only. It would be expensive and difficult to design a good A->D capture circuit for that kind of bandwidth if you had an analog input. Analog input lcd past 1280x1024 starts to look like crap really fast.
