  • My BIOS only goes up to 128MB Apeture size! will this be a problem?

I am getting a G400 but my BIOS only supports up to 128MB of Aperture Texture Size...will this be a problem?

    Thanks

I have a Series Matsonic MS-7192SM motherboard. 4PCI, 2 ISA, 1 AGP. AGP is 1X but in BIOS, 2X can be enabled. Maximum aperture size is 128M, lowest I believe is 8M.

    Thanks!

Should be OK....the 256meg problem only affects a few mobos with Pheonix BIOSes. You may want to check for an update to your mobo BIOS....it may now have a 256meg option...

that's fine... you should put it either to half the amount, or at worst the same amount, of your total amount of RAM in your system...

If you've got a game swapping 64 or more megs of texture data across the AGP bus then you've got other problems anyway
