My timing was....well almost perfect!! Sold my K6-III yesterday! 8-) Goes to show, good things come to those who wait, and the rest of us pay more to get there quicker. I REALLY WANTED TO SEE WHAT TGL WOULD DO ON THE K6-III, dang dang dang! It was a swell chip. I'll bet a lot of people will be very glad to see the post!

I donwloaded the TurboGL file and installed it. Does it work automatically with D3D when I open games or do I have to set it up somehow? UT does look better to me (although I've been away from it for a while so I don't really remember). I tried running UT with the OGL mode, but it didn't work. Any ideas?

TurboGL is an OpenGL MCD. It does absolutly nothing for D3D.

It will tell you what games it supports that where detected. in those games, just select default OpenGL as your video mode.

UT is not one of the supported games.

Kruzin, you sure it doesn't support UT? When I hit scan in the TGL Manager, it comes up with that as a supported game. Of course, it could be smokin something , cause when I tried to run it through this mode, I got crashed back to the desktop with all my icons and 800x600 resolution (so I would have to agree that is might not support it). Thanks for your prompt response Kruzin.

Well, if the TGL manager says it supports it, I ain't gonna argue....I don't have the game myself

I thought it did not...maybe it's just that it sucks with it....UT is known to be a D3D or Glide game, with crappy OGL tossed in...

Well if it's crappy, I guess I'll stick to D3D then. Thanks a lot.

                    Cool, but 2 things:
-why is G200 not supported? Apart from the dual WARP engine, not much has changed since the G200 AFAIK.
-is het 3DNow v1 optimized? Or is the normal FPU used on K6-X?

Dang, when can I play Quake2 on my G200 with K6-2 with a decent framerate?

Even though it isn't "supported", Kingpin will work with it.
Just copy the OpenGL32.dll file from one of the supported games to the Kingpin folder...

                            Gobrob,

What kind of system are you running?

I've got a C550/128MB and in UT (1024x768, High everything, 32bit, 6-8 players) I get over 45fps with the new drivers (a 3-4fps improvement over the old ones)

I haven't tried it yet but I'm guessing that I'm playable in 1600x1200

I am downloading the file now. Make sure though that you set your apeture size to 256, the text file says that this is a minimum requirement!
