          SMIFF:
Im using a Voodoo2 card. And i've made a lot of maps for different games. The shadow glitches that u see are errors in the map compiling. Most of them are there with the voodoo card too. Though thanks to the G400 higher detail level, you can more easily see them.

The Replacment hud that u use are exactly what i'm talking about. The file gfx.wad is the file with the letters in it. And the problems seems to be how u 'cut' out the letters from the picture with the letters. With G400 there seems to be a glitch.

For example. The letter 'G', when u look at it you'll see a little black 'piece' to the right of it. This is actually the far left edge of the 'H' in the letter picture. So by making the letters smaller or remaking the coordinat file for the letters (a lot of work) u can get rid of the 'fuzzy' stuff.

Since i'm using a 19" monitor and playing at 800X600 i've got no problem seeing the letters. So i actually made them smaller. And... the 'fuzz' is gone.

If anyone wants to use this file i'll post it for u. But remeber that if u have a small monitor u might even get more problems reading the text.

            DeFrag:

            ftp://download.intel.com/design/software/drivers/platform/inf/infinst_enu_pv22.zip

If you have a USB mouse (I do), it won't work after the first restart after you install these drivers - don't panic!! Just let windows do its stuff and restart again. If it doesn't work then: PANIC No seriously go ahead & install them - I seem to have gained a few FPS. Which is nice.

              Gorax:
I've made maps too I've tried to recreate the glitches on a Voodoo3 but I just can't! So even if they are caused by errors in the map (and I'm not argueing with you about that), the bottom line is still that other manufacturers (3dfx, nVidia) deal with it and Matrox doesn't, isn't, didn't or can't. There's no way the game companies are going to change their game engines to suit Matrox, so Matrox better change its drivers to suit the games. Unless they want a flawed product and fewer customers

              (pause, deep breath, relax)

Erm shit guys I don't mean to sound dramatic but it looks like MURC is hemoraging members to the new board

have you posted a link to your web page of doom, on the "Official Matrox Forums"? Maybe some peepz from Matrox will notice it there?
