  • Will running two monitors down grade performance?

I was wondering if running two monitors off my G400 MAX will slow down it's performance in games, will it use half the graphics card for one monitor half for the other?

Also I heard that the Rollcage 2 demo didn't support EMBM is that true?

It depends how you do it,
Dualhead multi-display will split the video memory in half - 16mb per display.
Dualhead clone gives just under 10% performance decrease (according to my observations), which isn't too bad.

Thanks, I generally use it for multi-display so I'll keep that in mind, I'll disable it before games.

        Hi Ozzy,

Simply disabling won't help recalim the memory that is allocated, a reboot will be necessary for the memory to be reclaimed.

For a couple of future games DH will be necessary, like Star Trek: Armada.

My name comes from my last name, Ragsdale. I have always been called Rags by my friends, so I figured it would be a good handle.

Menstration is where your computer starts spontaneously rebooting itself or locking up once a month.

Star Trek - Armada doesn't require DH but it is a very nice feature. With DH enabled performance will be lower so for the games that can not use this function then disable it before starting them.
