But no, the tcowsmeshskin didn't work on that server.

Btw, is it necessary to install the Infiltrator.umod on the MGI server? It slows entering UT down a lot!!

I'll try uninstalling the Infiltrator.umod for the moment, see what the MGI server says when I connect

Edit: been there, done that... no connection to the MGI server, although UT starts up within 2 minutes, whereas with the Infiltrator.umod installed it takes over 4 minutes to start up !!

Btw, anyone knows why my UT now wants to start windowed? I can't get it full screen anymore ... end edit

There's a setting either in the main options screen, or under the advanced preferences (type 'preferences' at the console [tilde '~' key opens the console]) that determines whether UT starts in Windowed mode or fullscreen. Since I'm at work right now, I can't look to be more specific about where it is, but if someone else hasn't posted the exact location (or you find it) before I get home tonight, I'll look and post for you, Jorden.

Jorden after the new reinstalls can you use the DinoCows, Rumiko and other skins on the server now? That model fix I posted above is for people who can't use the other cow skins but the war cow even in single player it defaults to the warcow.

Oboy has the two TCowMeshSkins files from the BonusPack posted on the [MU] clan site now. You guys can get them to replace the two Bogus files that the Cowsh1t.zip file contained.

Haig, if you could please get these two files and replace the ones on the Server with them.

Hope this straightens up all the problems you guys are having

Ace - I know where it is in Preferences, but it shows full screen there. I'm still playing with a full-screen windowed screen. So I see the E:\UnrealTournament bar above every game. And that window is maximized. (I can't even minimize it)

CyberTek - I uninstalled UT from my system, deleted the Unrealtournament folder (after copying the downloads to a safe place !! ), rebooted and then installed UT freshly on a new drive. Did all the thing's up there, included the Infiltration.umod which I missed out in the list I see

And I can use them in my own games (singleplayer) and in the multiplayer LAN games and online games, without a problem now.

Sorry Jorden. I misunderstood your previous post. I've heard of this problem from others, but haven't heard of a solution (uhm, short of another resinstall of UT, which I'm sure you're getting kind of tired of by now.)

Well, it finally looks like we have figured out the problem and everyone has checked in with their theories. The only person that I have not seen get into the fray is Haig. Where is he? Does someone know why he hasn't posted or corrected the problem???

About the TCows thing, I installed that .umod right over the BonusPack.umod, and don't have any problems.
[list=1][*] Install UT (D'OH )[*] Start UT and enter your options, preferences and the MGI server IP address + password.[*] Exit UT[*] Install Patch420itsp (It's about 200k smaller than the normal patch, but to what difference, I don't know !!)[*] Install all skins and maps with .utx and .unr extensions.[*] Install the BonusPack.umod[*] Install the InoxxPack.umod[*] Install the mod-Enanbler[*] Install all skin.umods[*] Install tcowsmeshskin.int and tcowsmeshskin.utx in System and Textures folders.[*] Install dinocow.umod and 6Rumiko.umod[*] Enter UT, check prefs, options and IP address for mistakes.[*] PLAY UT ONLINE[*] Get killed a dozen of times due to lack of playing or high pings [*] Exit UT[/list=a]

At least, that's how I did it. And it worked for me.

Be sure to unzip the Tcowsmeshskin's to a folder of their own (i.e. Temp\Skins), and from there copy them to the right folders. That way you won't mess with copying the wrong files.

Not to "beat a dead horse", but does anyone besides me, NOT see the "version mismatch" problem? I can't believe that I am the only one that does not get that error (I'm not complaining). There must be some way to fix this besides deleting those skins off the MGI Server (which wouldn't bother me either, since I don't use them).

By the way Kindness, I even logged onto that server you suggested -- no error message.

Like I was saying before Beezer, I really don't know what to make of your success. However, no skins are really being deleted, at least if those files only contain copies of the original Bonus Pack skins. The OzUnreal cow skins can still be installed, along with all the others. All replacing those two files does is ensure that everyone connecting to the MGI server have the SAME version of those original skins (probably no difference between those and the new ones visually anyhow- just a minor int different [probably a missing comment or something in the CowSh1t version])
