To your questions:
1. nope, you can tweak 'em to run at lower refresh rates, but 120Hz is recommended
2. nope ... don't have any Flight Sims, but as long as they use D3D as API, you should be fine
3. no clue ... I get a way more intense depth perception by using those glasses, i.e. it now looks like true 3D, as if your monitor has turned into an aquarium or something ...
