    I also experienced the glitches in the second and third image, however, that was back with Win2k PowerDesk driver 5.01 or 5.03.... they have been fixed for some time now.

    I advice to update your drivers.

              Soundblaster and Marvell are both on IRQ 11...there are no hardware conflicts though.

                The wrong head is easily explained. Just use the new /headmodel command in q3a to set your current head to that of any other model.
                However the rest are just examples of various graphical glitches people see. Why don't you tell us what driver version and exact card you are using so we can guess what it is exactly?

                  Cyber-D ... How do you manage to get 511MB installed? Anyway, yes you do have a hardware conflict. Matrox cards don't like sharing interrupts. Move it onto it own interrupt, IRQ 9 or higher.

                    How i get 511 Mb ? No idea. I have 4x 128 Mb installed. I know it's 512Mb total, but it shows up as 511Mb...oh well.
                    I have a few questions about all this now;

                    1. How come that Quake3 doesn't work after i installed the new drivers?
                    2. How come that it doesn't show anny hardware conflicts in my device list?
                    3. How do i change the IRQ? When i try it tells me that it cannot be changed. And in the system bios i also cannot seem to change the IRQ.

                      Windows allows for devices to share IRQs but some devices are sensitive to sharing: That's why Windows isn't complaining about it. Remember also that you would want to place devices that are interrupted more frequently on their own interrupt to increase system performance. Driver changes may stress the card differently and expose preexisting HW problems. You can check out this FAQ to determine how to change IRQs.

                        I read that i can change the irq of the first PCI device in the bios. However, my G400 is in an AGP slot and not PCI. Or does this make no difference?
                        And second, i do not seem to have anny IRQ's free to move it to (why don't they make more IRQ's aniway! )

                          Whoa!!! As the MURCers would say, "Free beer on IRQ11!". That's quite a party you're throwing there. "Why can't we all just get along?". Now break it up ...
                          First of all, are you using both SCSI and IDE devices? If you're not using one or the other, disable its interrupts. You can also free up an interrupt (IRQ 5) by disabling SB emulation in your audio drivers (unless you play DOS games). If you're not using USB, you can disable its interrupt as well. If you are using USB, consider buying a USB mouse and freeing up IRQ 12. You may be able to free up a COM IRQ if you don't use both COM ports. AFA AGP IRQs ... on most MBs, the AGP slot and PCI slot 1 share IRQs. You should keep that slot empty or put a card in there that doesn't require an IRQ.

                            Ok what i have done so far;

                            ->I had my SCSI controller (for my CDROM and CDwriter) in PCI slot 1 and i put it in slot 2
                            ->The Soundblaster Live i changed from slot 2 to slot 3
                            ->In the BIOS i changed the IRQ's assigned to the PCI's as you can see:

                            ->I removed the Soundblaster Emulation, COM1 and COM2, and moved the mouse to the USB port (it's an Intellimouse Explorer)
                            However, i still cannot seem to get the Matrox card to have an IRQ for it's own and i cannot seem to assing IRQ3 to the soundblaster and IRQ4 (wich are both free now) to the SCSI interface, as you can see
                            [img]
                            Now it is all getting even more complicated (and a nice gallery is building up here too )
                            I would be very very very very greatfull if annyone could fix this crap for me.
