I just switched from Windows 95 to Windows 2000 Professional (SP1).
With Windows 95 I had no problems playing Counter-Strike (Half-Life) in OpenGL using the latest PD-drivers, but with Windows 2000 it doesn't work at all. There are also some problems (e.g. the system hangs up) concerning the included OpenGL-screensavers.
My system:
- ASUS Motherboard P2B (latest BIOS update)
- Intel Pentium II 400 @448MHz
- 128 SD-RAM PC100
- Matrox Millennium G200 AGP (IRQ 9)
- Creative SoundBlaster AWE 64
- AVM Fritz!Card (ISDN)
- PD-driver 5.14.033 (13sep00) which is the latest provided by www.matrox.com
- DirectX 8.0
- latest Half-Life + Counter-Strike files
I hope that someone is able to help me.
Thank you!
Sven
