As soon as you move it clears right up. Remember this shot is taken from right after you meterialize in that spot without moving the mouse pressing the keys, it happens in other spots but not as bad. This bug has existed since the first ICD came out.

It never happened with the radeon so we can rule out a game bug.

Does that bug happend in all map? Is it happening when you spawn somewhere else?

I've noticed that as well... I never really cared, since I thought it didn't was of any importance.

Maybe I should list this bug too...

Ino ther spots I noticed it's just black triangles, but that shot exposes the bug to it's fullest I think. Maybe it's worse in that spot because you have the walkway above or something.

Just to interject a thought here... last time I checked up on you Galvin, you were running the TurboGL in some bastardized 5.41 + TurboGL combo.

Please tell me you aren't still doing that? I see no such texture corruption on any of the machines I have had the G400 in.

I'm using standard drivers the latest ones from matrox, nothing fancy here.

                  to dZeus:

it isn't that bad. I can live with the small amounts of texture corruption present in q3a.

you are right, I can live too....

Nope, not blind. No (repeat: NONE) texture corruption problems with 5.14 or 5.20 drivers in Quake3 for me. None. Zero. Zip. Zilch. It's been that way for a long time, and 5.14 finally enabled SMP so I'm a happy camper.

                      Gurm:

did you try to reproduce the texture corruption issue like it's documented on my site?

It's a bit diffictult to tell how it has to be reproduced... maybe I should shoot some video footage on this bug.

And the bug when spawning is also VERY difficult to reproduce. When I bind a key to the q3a command 'kill' , I can commit suicide as many times as I want, but as soon as I am spawned again, I can't see any corruption. However, when I am playing in a battle online, I often notice the black triangles... they just don't seem to show up very predictable.

I have the same result here. There is no luck involved. I don't see the same corruptions that you do, even in questionable internal betas.

Galvin, do you want me to erase all other pictures in this tread?

Yes the betaboys I think have seen them enough times These two pictures I find interesting because by using a different driver but all the same quake3 Settings you get a slightly different corruption effect.

Those two pics from what I learned are not currutption but called something else, forget what it is exactly. But sorry for using the wrong term and getting misunderstood.
