Upgrade to what version? I don't want to use ME since it is too bloated IMHO. NT and 2000 don't do all games very well. I check out a lot of game demos and still play some games.

Nope. I don't like overclocking.

hmm, on my system it locks up pretty fast when I overclock my G450, thus I thought it might be the reason on your rig too.

It seems to be taxing the whole system more than any other game actually does.

not the whole driver, but you can open the G400ICD.dl_ with Winzip, extract it and let it replace the G400ICD.dll that is to be found in windows\system ...

but make a backup first !

Actually. I just noticed both G400icd.dll files are the SAME exact file size (bytes wise). Hmm! I don't have a file compare utility to check on them. Ok bed time now!

right-click and look into the version tab ...

NT's PD4.77 comes with ICD version 2.02.001, while W98's PD6.50 comes with version 2.10.013 ...

NT's ICD is dated to March 7th and W98's ICD is from 21st of February.

Knowing that Matrox really has a wicked numbering system, it might be at least worth a try.

Yeah, I have used fc before but I am not sure how to use it. I get a bunch of binary crap on my screen with the computer beeping. If I use binary, I get a long list. I just want to know if the files are different.
