Well, I've got also the problems with strange textures, but doing alt+tab on my g400 on win2k is enough to solve the problem.

Let's hope that there will be patch for g4X0 User *G*

Is there a game patch out at all yet?

Not necessarily for our problems...

But LionHead doesn't seem to be real good about having a useful website, and EA is being typical EA "there are no known issues with B&W".

Hey Guys,
I know most Win2k are still having problems with the game. Could you please tell me if it works with "medium detail" set. It seems to be fine here just wanted to confirm before proceeding,

Thanks,

I fixed the text corruption problem by setting the colour depth to 32 bit. Everthing is perfect now.

az: that didn't help me at all. i get texture corruption before i enter the citadel. and it didn't really fix anything in the citadel either.

R0M: reducing the detail makes the corruption appear less frequently, but it is still there.

16/32bit didn't fix it either. I tried almost every combination in the Setup screen and what can i say: no success.

ROM, I tried turning off the volume lighting and setting the detail level to medium and I still get corrupted text and textures, even inside the temple. It doesn't look like messing with the settings is doing me any good at all...

All the things mentioned dont change anything. Only switching 10 times to windows and back bring a temporaliy solution, after 10 seconds its all messed up again.

How can LH assume that BW is proved with a G400??????

Looks like we're not alone with this issue, after spending some times with engineering and getting puzzled i see this:

I'll talk to Lionhead tomorrow and see what is going on,

Regards,

P.S: Try turning off Hardware T&L like some are suggesting even though G400 doesn't have it

Hey Guy's,

Has anyone tried this with a different card to see if it's really the G4x0 cards. Maybe this is a Win2K problem who knows!!

Hey! Changing the Graphics Aperture Size from 64 to 16 in my BIOS worked for me!! Now the textures in the palace looks normal and I have all my details set to Max. My text also appear normal now but I haven't played very long so I wouldn't know how this would hold up. Credit RoM for giving me the link and Ceber for posting the fix on planet black and white. Good luck everyone!

I have a win2k + g400 systems and for every setting I tried I kept getting bad texturing and text. I just changed my aperture size to 16MB in BIOS (like Shifter25) and it works great now.
