Okay, we all know that 16X FAA kicks ass. But what about the texture quality? This is the only thing keeping me from buying a Parhelia as I'm unsure of what to do.
- First there's the 30.30 Detonators for nvidia cards that is supposed to improve quality. Then there's the Omega drivers. I have an Geforce 2 card right now running Omega and 4X FSAA and it looks very nice.
- Then there's ATi with their 6X FSAA and 16X anisotropic filtering+trilinear and amazing speeds at that.
- Then there's Matrox with their 4X FSAA. Why do the textures look so good in 4X FSAA mode with the Parhelia?
- Here's a link to a more detailed post I wrote on this:
- And a link to the article showing better texture quality in Parhelia's 4X FSAA plus some 16X FAA incompatibilities with stencil buffers
So which one has the best image quality?
