I hopped on and played a bot for a little bit last evening, and had pretty nice pings too. It varied between 20ms and around 90ms, but no real spiking (more of a gradual change between the two extremes). Spiking is irritating because you can't compensate for the ping because it is so unpredictable. Gradual changes like this server shows are pretty cool, because it's easy to compensate for.
