So if I only play on a single (or have only one active) CRT (does VSYNC matters?) I won’t have banding problems even if I have FAA16x on?

Hey Eon,
don't let 3dfx's wild speculations confuse you ...
The banding depends solely on the amount of workload you put onto the Parhelia.
That means, enabling VSync reduces banding, disabling FAA reduces banding, lowering the screen res reduces banding, but as far as I observed, it is always there, but sometimes just too subtle to be seen under "normal" circumstances.Despite my nickname causing confusion, I am not female ...

Well when I turn off FAA 16 x on my card I get no banding, when I turn it on I get banding. Also in my case, when I turn v-sync on it makes no difference from having it off, ie the same level of banding. So I would not call it wild speculation Maggi, this is just my experiece with the Parhelia and as we have already established it is different from card to card and therefore it is more than likey you have had different experiences to me.

those are my main problems, the patch did a little to none to solve this.

Edges of my sprites are fvcked up totally.
They make stuff behind them transparent, and gives all kinds of strange effects.<font size="-4">User error:

The blue stuff is around trees is normal, it happend on GTA3 and it happens on GTAvc for my ati 8500 as well(as well as othe cards).
If you look at trees with the sky in the background they look good, but with a hill or something behind it, it will look like crap. Some kind blending gone wrong.

I put the frame limiter to ON. Its the only way to get it to work correctly...
Everything else is at MAx settings...
AGP thingy is at 256Mb (aperture) 8x transfer speeds, .....?
haven't noticed any 'blue' shifts anywhere....
