I interface from an ATI DVI-to-Component connector on the back of the video card. Then I connect component cables to the HDTV.

I don't understand the rest of your sentence.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

I don't know the answer but even on my HDTV setup, the text is horribly blurry and washed out. The game looks decent but it's not as good as I hoped it would be.

        Helevitia ...
        I'm glad it worked ...

Did you try different resolutions ?
Did any other resolutions besides 2400x600 work ?
I'm just thinking that may be at a higher resolution the text wouldn't be so blurry.

What was your eventual FOV setting ?

Not sure if they are the same shape. Just know for a fact that HDTV is smaller then 3 screens across

            Hi guys ...
            ID have released a 1_05_Beta patch for doom 3 and now - r_aspectRatio now uses 0, 1, or 2 (4:3, 16:9, 16:10)
So if you add the line ...

            seta r_aspectRatio "1"

... to your DoomConfig.cfg ... you will get a better .... less squashed view when in Surround.

I was really unhappy with the Surround view being so squashed looking and so I was playing on one screen ... this makes playing in surround (in my opinion) just about acceptable..
I'm playing at 2400x600x32 ... fov 120 and with bumps turned on (all other advanced settings turned off)
Powerdesk FAA-16x works fine for me ... (always has)

Get the Patch here ... http://www.fileshack.com/ and here ... http://www.3dgamers.com/games/doom3/
