The game's getting rave reviews. I'm debating buying it from Steam, but why is it $50-$60 when you don't get anything? Usually 1/3 of a price is retail markup, and then there's distributor's cuts and whatnot....
All those costs are gone, so why is the price so high?Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

It takes 5 hours to "have a poo"?
Maybe a little less cheese in your diet would help.....

I got it at MicroCenter today. Was on sale for $40 (list was 55). Came only with 5 CDs, a small quick ref card, and some ATI spam.
Then they had the $75 dollar "special edition" that comes with a t-shirt art book of artwork.
Won't be able to play it till tonight though...Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

Question, is the boxed version available in stores(for ~$54.99 USD) the same as the Half-Life 2 Silver that you can DL from steam for $59.95?
I guess in short, does the store version include or allow you to play CS:Source ?
That is all....Go Bunny GO!

From what I can tell, the basic retail version is the same as the steam bronze package. It includes HL2 and CS:Source, but not HL:Source or DOD:Source.Lady, people aren't chocolates.
