Does anybody here have some old 16-32Mbs Sdram sticks (like old PC66's)?
I have a good P200MMX that I'm wanting to join Setiing for the murc. But I miss only one little stupid component, in this case: Memory.
This stupid dell is a spoiled brat, he doesn't even want my good PC100 64mb Sticks!!!!
So if anyone of you have some of those old memory modules near here in Europe. I'd be so happy.

I can't get the new commandline version (2.4) to run on any of my Win98SE computers. It hangs up on the first "Doing Baseline Smoothing" statement and never gets beyond that point. The 2.0 version seems to work fine. Any ideas?

                  Brian,

                  From the (linux) README:

                  -verbose
print a running summary of the work being done.
Starting with the version 2.4 clients, the client is silent
to stdout during processing. There are messages at the start
and finish of processing a work unit, but there are no progress
messages printed during processing unless this option is used.
I assume the dos-client behaves the same, so probably it *is* running.

Cheer Ees (martin) for the info. i checked it out and i was waaaaay down the bottom. i was kinda suprised that when i have seti screen up and leave it for a while, i churns out 1 wu every 4-5 hours, if left running in the back ground(i have it set so it runs all the time) it takes approx. 4 times as long... is this normal?

Actually, I was about to propose a race to the next millennium (as in: would I be at 4000 before you're at 3000?). But since most of my computers will be down for the weekend, I think I won't

                        PS: good decision, Jorden.

                              ees,
I upgrading the switch & router software at work next week and reconfiguring the port filters on the firewall, => my units will prob go throught the floor.
But by thursday I will try and get as many machines crunching seti as I can, I'll have a go at hitting 100 units per day, though I'll prob only get about 50.

Jorden - I'm going to claim 5.5 hours/wu for my PIII 800. I don't average that, but that's my fastest computer.
