He must be beta testing the new matrox video card that uses its 3D rendering engine to run distributed projects at high DDR speeds when you aren't running anything but 2D programs. (200Mhz Clock Rate, 4 Pipelines with 3 Texture units per pipe each unit on the pipe capable of running one WU (For a total of 12 WU's at a time) at 150Mhz DDR (300Mhz) with an advanced physics plotting chip and matrox skinning unit that helps plot gene axis for easier and more intuitive prediction of placement to cut out some overhead which of course is his extra boost

Ok.. Ok.. I have too much spare time on my hands and too much coffee in my system

        Post number 600!

I've decided to stress test my Duron, it's running 24/7 now.

        If it dies, it dies.

Guess that, almost correct, movie quote

Ha, tough CHHAS. All those PC's against one P3-450? Tough

Try playing some C&C: RA2 on a couple of those PC's though

              CHHAS

I have been running a duron 650 @ 750mh for the past 3 weeks 24/7, still going strong.

(I have been waiting for it to give up the ghost so I have an excuse to get another tbird 1.2 gig cpu, to crunch more G@H)

Hehe, that's my plan too (if the Duron dies that is).

I've modified my system a bit, so I've only got 1 fan to cool the whole thing, that's the reason I've been a bit apprehensive about letting it run while I'm not using it, but I suppose the BIOS safety stuff will shut it down if things gets too hot.

                    Hey Maggi

I well remember being lost in the middle of Luneberger Heide. I lived in Fallingbostel from 1977 untill 1981.

                    Great place

Well, I made the decision to stop SETI on the two remaining machines (P3-500s) and put Genome on them. I still have to go to them every now and then and upload results. But more crunching power is good

At least the new v0.98 is crunching okay. I look forward to see Rattledagger coming up through the list again as well

I have a network weekend next week, so lots of PC's to temporarily put genome on, including two T-birds 1GHz

Thanks for the help, it seems to be working again now.

Am I OK still crunhing on v0.93 or I do I need to upgrade to a newer version?

It seems I have to go get one of those TBird's to hold you at bay..... Apparently one Duron 900 produces roughly the same as ~2.1GHz intel CPU's.... Unfair...

Hmm, maybe I should get an AXIA and a new MB and set up the Duron as a secondary system ...

Interesting to see you've been in Fallingbostel (serving the British Army I guess), becuase it has become the place for our annual demo coding party.
