  • My dad-in-law runs 1 on a P4-2.66Ghz at about 2.1 to 2.2 s/Ts. I do not think you'd be able to meet that performance level. Just run 3 and see if you can catch me.

Not likely: when it finishes its current units, I'll intend to decommission it for the summer (my apartement gets too hot, airco can barely cope, so I won't crunch during this period). Now it seems to have cooled down a bit, but last week was already quite a warm week.

      • Running again, well will be as soon as the site is back online.

Only one PC this time and it will only be on for around 10 hours a day during the week.

                  • You all should have bet of a keg or some other quantity for whoever passes me first.

                    Edit:
I wish I could continue at full strength but the memory load does make itself noticable frequently with only 256MB Ram which is over 2/3 of my crunching strength.

*High wonders if he can match the rest of MURC's SETI team in crunching capabilities.*

Wouldn't that in all likelyhood be you? Hmmm.

It's a possibility, but not likely. I've already lost my Xeon, and I'll be losing a P4 shortly, so my output will be suffering. I'm sure some other thirsty bugger will get motivated.

Riker: Give us a superior curve, Mister Crusher.
