Don't be deceived, I got sumting up my sleeve. Just not sure whether it'll be in time before the X-mas holidays or not.

I am somewhat concerned though that it's been quite a while since we had a new member. I thought that once we broke through #100, people would join in to support us further, but no. And we're #48 right now.

Well congrats dbdg, we have a new member, I guess cause of your brilliant marketering! Just don't know who it is yet. 3 members not on the list yet, and I know only 1.

Perhaps this is due to our success: they could be thinking "Those guys are doing fine without me, look the even made the top-50".
(an underdog usually gets more support)

Well <s>you</s>the CPDN recruiter could play on their emotions. Instead of saying:
"Look we are in the top 50 , but want to get higher and need your help"
you could try:
"We seem to be no match for those higher ranked teams. Not even ranked in the top 40. But perhaps with your help, this small international team can teach those bigshots a lesson..."
I'm not saying it will work, but it is worth a try...

Glad to use some of those wasted CPU cycles, and glad to join the few other Canucks on the team, eh. I'll be bringing some of my older machines online in the next week or two.
Have to admit, it's sorta troubling that there is only one Dutch on the team, especially given that there are two belgians....
