Congratulations to Portugal, though you had luck scoring in the last minute. Good luck in the match with Germany, I hope you win or at least make evan.

If things stay like this, we might have a chance if we beat England.

Germany-Portugal

Portugal is qualified no matter what

Germany must win with Portugal and hope for an equal game betwen Romania and England

Romania must beat England and hope for at least an evan game betwen Germany and Portugal

England must make an evan game with Romania and hope for Portugal to make evan with Germany or win with Romania and don't care about the other game

It's a random draw, apart from the fact that Holland and Belgium can't be drawn in the same group. Although they are all ranked very high in the world ratings.

France 2nd in the world.
Czech Rebublic 3rd in the world.
Holland 8th in the world.( I think)

As long as England play like they did against Germany they shouldn't need to worry about Romania. But if they play like they did against Portugal they'll get nothing. Anyway I've got some free booze coming from last nights result. Score 1.0 predicted and I said 55 minutes for the first goal so I'm the nearest on that.

Well, the English overconfidence (arrogance?) see KK with egg on his face - the Germany result is good but, OMG, did the English press go OTT!

And what's wrong the Pierluigi Collina? I think he's the b est referee I've seen (in Italy I think they call him a scary name - but I saw a show interviewing him at home - hehe - what a difference! Though I was surprised at the time he added on to the England Germany game because all the referees seem to be whistling on time.

Italy are looking good (an average but strong start as usual but better somehow).

Looks like Euro2000 will be a lot better than WC98 (anybody else think that France were the best of a bad lot?).

And as for the FIFA rankings I think they are a load of guff - the only rank I believe is Brazil at No 1. I mean they include friendlies in the points!

No, judging from the last game, it would not be nice to have Belgium advance from their group. They have absolutely no idea what 'fair play' means. They even had their goal keeper sent off with a red card after he knocked the opposing attacking player down.
