I was just wondering if this kind of spike has been seen in other parts of the world or was it manufactured to take cash from Americans. I could write a book here but you all get my point.

And our cars cost approximately 30% more than a similar car anywhere else in europe...
I doubt that they cost more then over here!

                      LOL

Damn this an old post. Last summer there was problems in the USA with Gas Alvaiblitly. The Problem was that the EPA allowed regions of the Country to select what type of Gas they wanted to use for their situation at the time. What happened was that Gas refiners had to make 12 different types of Gaslione for the summer months, thus leading to shortages in Certain areas of the Country (notiably the Midwest and California) and make gas prices spike up! The EPA quickly changed that Rule and said they could only choise from 4 different fomulations of Gas this past summer and gas prices stayed pretty much level this past summer. I pay about $1.45 a gallon for 93 Octane gas and I've seen the prices of this go from 1.45 to 1.60 a gallon.

What kills me is that I see Gas prices for Super (93) at one gas station for $1.60 and then drive 20 miles and see the same excact brand gas station in another town for .10-15 cents cheaper! From what the local paper was saying it goes on how affulant the town is and other factors
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Yeah, usually the poorer the town the more expensive it is.
Same used to happen in my old suburb in Adelaide, poor suburb and most people didn't have cars so the local supermarkets would jack the price.

Drive 12 mins (sadly about 1/5 hours by bus) away and you could save 10% on your shopping bill - in a "rich" suburb

Here's to hoping the high gas prices will reduce the number of stupid, gas-guzzling SUVs on the road. A long shot I know ...

Which was yes? The destroy Russia, or the, uh, number two?

I doubt it because those who are able to afford them in the first place are the last ones to have to worry about the price of the fuel that goes in them.

And most people who buy SUV's NEVER take them off-road. I don't get it? If your gonna buy a car, you can at least make it fit your needs!
