Ok, let's get a nice 1000 post thread going here.
Rules:
1 Quota of at least 90% nothing. Sometimes something has to be posted, but let's keep that at 10% partially-hydrogenated.
2 No multiple identical posts from the same user (but "Me too!" from many different users is strongly encouraged).
3 I want to see sportsmanlike conduct. No hitting below the belt, but come out swinging, and a standing 8-count rule.
4 There is no sex in the champagne room.
5 Let's keep images to a minimum. They're cool, but too many and the modem-users will not like visiting the thread, and this is a group effort.
6 Answers to "I should be crowned Miss America because...." might also be entertaining.
7 Cheeeeesseeeee................

10 Have fun!!!

What do you mean, "no sex in the champagne room"?

What kind of chintzy party is this???

The MURC just ain't what it used to be, if you ask me.

"Sportsmanlike conduct" and "partially-hydrogenated"... next we'll be talking about "high fiber, low fat".

Pfffffft!!

I should be crowned Miss America because I (having nothing to do WHATSOEVER and was bored off my ass too) just went to Circuit City with the intention of buying The Great Escape on DVD and walked away with the special edition of The Princess Bride as well....

I'm a late starter in this thread but I don't think I missed nothing . Well a bad joke - should this be in that joke thread? I'll go there now and see if I can add to it. Hmm, nothing...

If you notice this notice you'll notice this notice isn't worth noticing.

And, although not wanting to add much more content and discussion to this thread, did you get the WinME logo Holly? I see mines for about half a second and it's gone.

And I could really do with ACPI support too - I think I'll go off to General Hardware for this one...

My comp just started smokin crack, but since it's only a minor nothing problem I thought I'd post it here....

Ya know those little icons in the task bar that you sometimes like to click on? :P Well, I can't open them unless I right click and then go to open. If I left click, it brings up the shortcut/properties screen. It's quite annoying. Anyone know how to fix it?

Wow! If we keep this up we might actually make some headway on filling up the Nothing Jar®.... or not.

No longer do we have simply nothing! It's not even good old fashioned jacksquat!

It's Special(how special you ask? Well, to be honest, we haven't a clue! )

Limited(what's that? you also want to know how limited it is?! Well, lets just say that if everyone in the world wanted one of their very own... they could have one )

Edition(don't tell me you don't know what edition means)

JACKSQUAT

Now you(yes you) can own your very own Special Limited Edition Jacksquat, fully compatable(if you're really lucky and 7 of the nine planets are aligned in an even numbered year) with Windows 95/98/ME/NT(but not really)/2000. You must have DirectX 12 installed and you must have a video card that supports "Render Subjects Nude" in hardware.

What can you do with this fabulous Jacksquat? Very little... in fact, I would go so far as to say absolutely nothing(not just nothing mind you, but absolutelynothing).

Heh heh , ok, I think I got a little carried away there...

Anyway, thanks Holly, the Jacksquat fits nicely on top of the nothing already in the jar. Strangest thing, Win 95/98/ME/NT/2000 all fit in there as well... *g*

Dimi, what are you, 21? How in the world could you have arthritis?!? Stop popping your knuckles.

I was in a sailboat race on Sunday and after 4 hours of sitting on the rail (keeping your weight over the high side of the boat) and grinding (working the winch that brings the sails in or out), I am beyond sore.

A very humbling experience. I spend 30 minutes a day on the damn Stairmaster and after 20 minutes of grinding, I can't breathe. Did I mention my ass hurts so much I can't sit down for more than 20 minutes at a stretch? I'm all scraped up and I left skin & blood on the deck from diving around for lines and such.

Great fun but I'm a huge wuss. Just felt like whining. By the way, on Sunday our boat came in first (3rd overall for the regatta).

Can't wait for the next race! Where's the aspirin?

Just doing something different can take a toll on your body! I am 31 and hit the gym every morning at 4:30a.m. I can bench press 390 pounds, and squat around 500 (never maxed out). In the spring we were doing a little landscaping. We were planting (of all things) pansies (A BUNH OF THEM). I don't know if it was carying the mulch, bending over and standing up 150 times, or what but I felt like a truck had hit me the next morning. Not something you tell the guys at the gym!

Me: "Dude, I'm wiped out!"
Gym Guy: "Heavy squats?"
me: "no.......PANSIES!"
