he he, maybe one of us should register at 3dfiles bragging that one has a Cryotech Athlon 1 Ghz/512 Mb cas2 pc133 with a Ge-force DDR oc´ed to 160/345 (Anand did it with a CL Geforce pro) and throw up something like 150 fps in Quake3 just to keep them happy and drooling

In answer to your question about the release of the V3-3500, Thundrchez - that sounds pretty close. I remember it because I had plans to get one when 3dfx first announced them (along with the original feature set), way before I heard about the G400s. Once I heard about the G400s though, I changed my mind. It was obviously a good thing, too, given how long those who preorder THAT particular board had to wait, only to find that its specs changed in the process (clock speed and features both).

He sounds like the kind of guy that, if he heard that the Giga G400's were 1 fps faster than the stock Matrox G400's, he would buy a new Giga mobo, cpu, and Giga G400 and then whine "Oh, no! It is not that much faster than a regular G400!"

I bet he'll quickly hop back onto the Matrox bandwagon as soon as the G800 (or whatever they end up calling it) is released. At least people like this support the economy.
