It's unfortunate that we have people like bongo who, as Kruzin states in the next post, "feel the need to take what was reasonable discussion and make it personal by insulting an entire country and it's population?"

And since this does go against forum policy I have deleted the offending post with a warning to Bongo, and any others who feel the need to do this, that if you continue down this path I will notify Ant who can have you banned.

You only did that AFTER I complained about impersonating me. That was not there in the original response AND my name still exists beside the EDITed message.

It can still be confused as my message even though you state EDIT.

OK folks now listen here. I ask people to moderate these forums and I ask them to moderate their forum according to my wishes.

My wishes are that we don't not have inflammatory postings relating to Country, religion other other similar issues as these always end in heated debates with people getting inflamed over issues that they will almost never resolve between themselves. It just causes bad feeling.

These forums have built up an excellent reputation for community spirit and I want that maintained. As I've said before if you wish to have these sort of debates then I ask you go find a more suitable forum. Please respect my wishes on these subjects, it is not a case if anyone removing anything just because something goes against their own beliefs.

1. What you posted WAS abusive and hateful. Towards an entire nation, and it's whole population.

2. Nobody impersonated anyone. Joel clearly posted his name on the edited post. He never claimed he was you. Do you know the meaning of the word impersonation?

3. "Any old rubbish" does not give you licence to mistreat people.

4. As I stated in the thread in the site feedback forum, your post would have been deleted no matter who it was, or what country was insulted. Your hateful attitude is simply not welcome here, and will not be tolerated. Shape up or ship out.

The impersonating thing is just the way this board works. As far as I know, moderators cannot change the poster of a message.

They can do pretty much the same things you too can with your own messages, either delete or edit them, except for that they are not limited to theirs and can do this with any message.

If the moderator opts to simply delete your message it will look like if it wasn't ever posted and you and others might wonder why it was removed or what was there.

That's why it's probably a better solution for him to edit your message, removing the text he found to be in violation of the rules and add a short explanation on why it was removed. This way everyone will see that there used to be a message there.

So a moderator can't post in your name. He can edit your message once you post it and then your name will remain as the original poster. He can't change that. All the moderator could do is to try to make it as clear as possible in the edited message that this is no longer your words but his explanation as to why it was removed.

It still would have been simpler to leave the message on. The internet is a World community; and America is just one member.

This MURCs forum has people from all around world and I believe there is a really strong pro-US bias on moderator side of this soapbox forum.

I believe if I had criticized Albania or Hungary or Ethiopia or Canada that I would not have been deleted.

Look; there is an easy way to settle this but I believe you do not have the stomach for the truth.

Repost my deleted message and have MURC forum members ( NO MODERATORS ) vote on it to see if it was ABUSIVE or HATEFUL.

If the majority of voters agree with you the it was crossing the line; I will resign from the boards.

If the majority find that the message was not offensive; than Joel must apologize.

This is democratic country right?


But like I said before; bullies do not confront when they think they may lose.

Not coincidence, this is what Ant, Kruzin, and Joel have been telling you. But replace the US with any other country name.

Some of the users on these forums may not even be from democratic countries.

Why continue this argument Bongo? Just let it go. Accept that maybe you were a little too harsh and the moderators did what they had to do. I'm not from the US either and sometimes don't agree with their views or policies. But I'm not going to insist that they are wrong and I am right. And I really don't think the moderators are asking you to leave MURC. Just to be more selective of what you write.
