Any good new ones out lately????

I picked up ST Away Team because it looked like commandos which i loved.... but as i am sure most of you know, Away Team is $hit.

Anyways, It is getting returned first thing tomorrow...

What should I replace it with?

You get a glimpse at Jadzia, can't play with her though, you'll just have to do with Kira (Worf and Sisko also).

Nah, one of my friends is a trekkie and he buys everything in sight. I am not going to buy another ST game with out playing it at his first....

Oh yer, you gotta love EB and their 10 day no questions asked money back thing.

Thing is, they do always ask me!
But, I've answered with:

"I thought it was a crap game" &
"I completed it in 5 days"

Each time had a full refund.
The guy in the shop gave me the impression that was all going to be changing soon - too many people using EB as a library - buy game, copy game, return game.

Summoner is like Baldur's Gate only with less options, a more restrictive play system, and an overall feel that illustrates why the PS2 is NOT the "ultimate gaming machine" everyone says, but rather my PC is.

The PC version of Summoner is only marginally better.

Try it. You'll hate it. Unless of course you've never PLAYED Baldur's Gate (or any of the modern Interplay RPG's), in which case you'll love it - until you play Baldur's Gate.

EB had a very limited selection so in the end I opted for a refund.
I should finish downloading Max Payne tonight so if that is any good I might grab that.

I am off on my hols on Friday, so hopefully MC2 & summoner will be in EB by then.

I hope not! That is the only reason why I shop there! If the game is crap or short i know i can replace it.
I bet they just re-wrap 'em and sell 'em anyway! How do they loose out?

I know you're looking for "new" games, but there are a bunch of titles from the past couple of years that you can get REALLY cheaply, are already totally bug-free (through patches), and will run perfectly on your system.

Games you NEED to play:

- Baldur's Gate Cycle (this includes Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate 2, and Throne of Bhaal)

- Planescape: Torment

- Alpha Centauri (and Alien Crossfire)

- Quest for Glory V

Games you NEED to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE:

- Icewind Dale. I actually BOUGHT this stinker for my wife. Imagine my dissappintment.

Games that _I_ enjoy, but you might not:

- Lords of Magic Special Edition (there's a beta patch to fix some of its bugs)

Anyway, it was just a thought.

The best part is that you can get Baldur's Gate WITH Tales of the Sword Coast already added in for like USD$15 nowadays, maybe even less. And Torment is also in the $15 rack around where I live. Great games cheap... and unlike many games they don't get outdated quite as quickly...
