And you don't think Bush, Powell and Co. don't have that one covered already?

    1. we've already announced that we won't stop for the holidays.

    2. Pakistan et. al. aren't screaming about it.

    I don't think they give a s***.

Typical KvH. Mocking what you don't know, rather than looking it up.

        Uzteks are important because:
1 ) They're one of the three major tribes of Afghans, and are part of the Northern Alliance.

        2) Uztekistan is a former Soviet republic, and we have been launching special ops from there. Their government has beeh helping us, but very quietly. When the attacks first started, Uztekistan didn't even broadcast the news over their state-run television station. I don't know what public opinion is like there, but that doesn't bode well for us.

Well I know that when they do finally take over and impose Islamic law in the US I will be spending alot of time in jail because I can't grow a beard worth a damn.

You know there is only one thing worst than a terrorist that attacks and kills thousands of innocent people, those that say that they were justified in doing so.

Take our money. Take our food. Even take our military help when you are attacked and then stab US in the back once we turn around. These people have no honor.

Did you find out any more about The "Uzteks," Rob? I'm so fascinated to be learning new things from someone who is so knowledgable...

(You don't think he could be referring to the Uzbekis of Uzbekistan do you? No way.. he's infallible.. perhaps we should elect him to the Papacy.)

Whoops. Typo on my part then. Why didn't you just say I spelled it incorrectly? Nah, that would be nice of you.

Can't really blame me for getting the name incorrect. I've already seen "Pashtoon" spelled three different ways.

Alright, I'll be nicer if you won't act so high and mighty. If you look at it, my first reponse was a joke. If you hadn't assumed I was stupid, you would have checked your error and made your whoops then, instead of repeating it and making it so uproarious..

Here's a new twist.... Copied from the Hindustan Times.

Khalili against respite to Taliban during Ramzan
HT Correspondent (New Delhi, October 25)
"THE NORTHERN Alliance's forces are waiting within striking distance of Kabul, but lack of sufficient ammunition is preventing its advance. The United States has been asked for help, but till now there has been no response, according to Masood Khalili, the Ambassador of the Burhanuddin Rabbani government of Afghanistan here today.

Khalili, who addressed his first press conference after surviving the September 9 suicide attack by two alleged Al Qaeda operatives, said Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's call for an end to the bombing of Taliban country by the beginning of
the holy month of Ramzan should not be accepted. "The Taliban is not Islamic.
There is nothing in the Koran against killing terrorists in the month of Ramzan. Even the Prophet had ordered a mosque to be destroyed when it became known that a plot had been hatched inside it".
The killing of Masood, he said, was planned to cripple the morale of the United Front (Northern Alliance). However, it has had the opposite effect. The anti-Taliban forces are now unshaken in their resolve to ensure that "Masood's soul rests in peace". Since the assassination and particularly the launch of the US air strikes,
the forces under General Ismail Khan in the west and Doshtum near Mazhar-e-Sharif have made significant gains."

Man it is amazing how misinformed some people are. Of course there will be civilian casualties, it is a war after all, but at least we know that the US is not specifically targeting those civilians. Plus we gave them ample notice. Unlike what was done to the US. Why can't some people get it through their heads that this is not about the US but about anyone who is non-muslim. Here's a very good thread on that very issue.

Nothing like double standards. It's okay for terrorists to deliberatly target civilans. No doubt Impact approves of the animals who targeted the school girl with a nail bomb. See my thread about that. Nato does not deliberatley target civilans. Terrorists do as are the Tabiban right now when they shell village under control of the northern alliance.
Of course to stop this Bin Laden only got to give himself up.

It's not okay for terrorist to kill civillians, I never said it is, but that's what them bastards do. But it's definitely NOT okay for a democratic country's army to kill civillians. You are a democracy, right?
