No matter what you say and how many times you twist words around, the fact remain hitting a child is illegal in most civilized cultures and this message topic would have ended 9 pages earlier if I did not get involved in this discussion. That may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how openminded you are.

Apparently not. Hitting a child is NOT illegal, in ANY culture that I know of. You're just confused. BEATING a child is illegal in many places. Smacking his hand away from a hot stove is not.

BTW, isn't it entertaining how liberal scatterbrains always bring this thing about "civilized cultures" or the like into a discussion when they have no real ammunition with which to argue? No problem I don't carry grudges. English is a difficult language at the best of times.
Anyway can any of the dogooders provide stats that youth crime has come down since the no spanking policy has come to bear down on us. So far we've got record numbers of school children excluded from school for bad behaviour.
The up coming yobs/yobettes down the road are the worst I've seen yet. The present ones are now old enougth to go the pub and no doubt cause trouble in there instead.
