Model rockets are the best, but I couldn't keep making them, it cost too much at the time.

Me and my buddies wanted to take the model rocket but turn the launch pad into a bazooka of some sort. Never did get around to making that project. Would have been fun!

I tried to build model rockets, but I think someone was trying to give me a hint. I tried to launch a mosquito rocket with a 1/4 A4 engine. It bounced very painfully off my skull. Damn gravity wasn't strong enough to pull me down out of the way. Must work on adjusting the universal constant.

        Hehe

I remember on rocket I sent soaring to the clouds......it blew up and I never saw any piece of it come back down. It was just a big ball of smoke and debris that disappeared.

Another "rocket" I made used a light plastic toy firetruck. We launched that thing from my drive way and it just spun in mid air about 4 feet off the ground until the engine ran out. It was awesome, my dad laughed too!

I tried to send a G.I.Joe to space (using a A class booster) but the dude ended up going up about 5" off the ground then flew forward into my garage door causing a small dent. Damages were estimated at around 2$. (price of the glue used)

He escaped, but not without burning 40% of his lower back and legs with 3rd degree burns.

He was the first G.I.Joe in ZokesPro history to be launched more than 2" high without the assistance of a human arm! Other instances including the rubber band catapult and the R/C car voyage of 1992.

Launching a mosquito with only a 1/4A egine? I used a full A (the largest they made then in that narrow diameter. I did toy with making a expasion jacket so it could take full size ones, but reckoned that would compromise it's tumbling). I forget what the delay was on that engine, but the thing went up through the clouds out of sight. Fortunatley I had painted one of the fins yellow, & so we managed to recover it. I didn't ever fly it again though. It now sits in my desk as a tribute to my good luck

Most of mine blew up, I often lost the nose cone. It always seemed to shoot off the rocket when the delay set off.

I never had that problem. Maybe I used stronger glue? The biggest problem I ever had was with the X-ray, in that the nose cone was the ejectable sort, and contaied a payload bay, but the base of the nose cone was not solid, so the payload bay always blew apart, scattering your payload....

I think the string that keeps the cone to the body (and holds the parachute) kept ripping off or wasn't properly tied together.
