How can people enjoy something like this? (Or even think of it)

But Jackass isn't on the cartoon network. Is it?

One problem is there are a lot of cartoons aimed at an adult population. Most assume that it is targeted at kids by virtue of being animation, but that is missing the point of animation as an art and entertainment form. One good show on Cartoon Network is Samuri Jack, an intelligent and artistic program.

A talk about cartoons that are bad for children, and no mention of the Simpsons? I'm ashamed at all you 'grups.

My cousin's 6 year old loves that channel. She always insists on watching it when she visits not that we let her all the time anymore, but uggh *shudders*, though I can see some value in it.

I love Sponge Bob, love it. I also like alot of what shows on Cartoon Network, especially adult swim on the weekends. It's like everyone says, I'm 21 going on 12.

CN has such great shows as Sea Lab 2021 (best cartoon ever), Aqua teen hungar Force, Home Movies, Power Puff Girls, Batman, Skooby Doo, Loony Tunes, Cowboy Bebop (amazing), and several others I can't think of at the moment.

                SEA LAB IS KING

The only things that interest me on Cartoon Network are Dexter's Laboratory, Toonheads, and the occasional Popeye (The old Fleischer 'toons, not the lame-ass post-war Paramount crap).

Oh, and also Tenchi. Actually I only watch it for Rioko.

PS my wife thinks I'm crazy and my kids think I'm the coolest dad on Earth. Now if they'd just get jobs...

Yep. Amazing artist. As a wedding gift, he created my wedding invitations -- sketch of my wife and I on the cover. Then framed the original (portrait size) which is hanging in my living room.

The Magic Schoolbus. Lily Tomlin does the voice of the driver (Miss Pringle, I think?).

Spongebob Squarepants is hilarious... though I wouldn't let any children watch it, because I have the feeling it turns them into ADHD-raving-lunatic-bastards... just a thought

I wonder what would Private Public and General Specific have to say about this thread?
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.
