Or it may be that your brain is dead.
Actually, I do not think that you are supposed to understand a cartoon, just enjoy it. Especially when it is one of the more absurd ones, which "sheep" definitely is.Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Yep. Cartoon network is pretty insipid, isn't it?
PBS and Disney are the only good channels on TV right now.
- Gurm, trying to limit Logan's exposure to TV.
Science channel, Discovery, TLC, and a few others are very worthy of my daughter's time. Oh, and a few breaks for her to watch the cartoon channel isn't going to kill her, it's all in the AMOUNT of time allowed. Just letting them zone in on all garbage all the time is pure laziness and neglect if you ask me.

Perhaps what I expect from a cartoon is to make me laugh. The ideea behind "Sheep in the Big City" is laughable, not funny.
A bunch of military guys and a hunchback mad scientist with a spoiled accent wanting to get their hands on poor old little "ran away from the farm" sheep to make their sheep powered ray gun.
At first it sounds idiotic enough to be funny, but it's just full of old clichés or more like simplistic.
I would be thankful if they put in those forced background laughs from time to time, so I'd know when to laugh.
And that ranting sued thing and the oxymoronic comercials in it are plain stupid.
Btw, the animation also sucks.
There's no need to insult me, unless you're the creator, still, it won't change my opinion.
Well, in the end it just might be a matter of tasteLast edited by Admiral; 17 August 2002, 09:52.

All that because thats how it usually is... while watching other shows, have you never wondered where does this narrator voice come from? Well, you get to see the Narrator in sheep with all trouble he has to endure. Ever wondered where the crappy plot is coming from (thousands of underpaid chinese script writers in Simpsons case)? And sheep has the answer, the Plot Device. Same goes for "the army chasing someone theme", the *wink wink* angry (gotta love the wordplay in sheep) *wink wink* scientist that has been repeated in more shows than I can count... etc... As for Oxy-moron guess what? Commercials are really that stupid in real life. Maybe even more.
I guess it really is a matter of taste.
Oh yeah, we do have one thing in common: I dont really like the Ranting Swede part, too. Luckily its at the very end of the show, allowing me to change the channel as it starts.
I am not saying that sheep is brilliant, but its definitely above average. Its not up there with Futurama or Zim (to reach the top league, sheep would have to upgrade the plot device and do something with the minimal graphics), but its definitely not down there with The Simpsons (Im talking post-Conan O Brian Simpsons here) and certain japanese crazyness (no, not Pokemon).

That is also why I consider the Simpsons vastly inferior in comparison to Futurama. Simpsons will make you laugh a lot, and thats all.
But thats not enough for me.Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Alice and me watch Cartoon Networks once in a while, now most of their cartoons are more adult oriented and are funny as hell.
Examples: Chicken & Cow, The cartoon with that 'brave' dog (Courage?) and a few more.
My all time favorites are Beavis & Butthead and the WB stuff (Animaiacs, BB, DD, EF etc.)
Gurm, I won't let my kids watch Disney, maybe it won't make them brain dead, but it'll sure turn them into a kitchy mushy strawberry jam.
My kids will grow on WB crazy stuff. They'll have Tweety, Silvester, Bugs and the guys to intertain them.
If it won't be enough, there's the HB stuff as well.

Want to see some other cartoons I like? Of all the flash cartoons, nothing beats Happy Tree Friends.
Cute, cuddly and ultra violent.
Here are some past episodes... needs flash... and turn your volume down if youre in an office...
