well the thing is muslims actualy belive that the quraan is the dictated word of God as Gabriel spoke it out to the prophet mohamad to write.... its understandble why they would get angry.. essencialy to them the man is saying that God is a very bad Author ....

but realy people have the right to say what they will and you can choos to accept it or regect it.... but things dont always go the way they should... we here in lebanon have the freedom of speach (officaly) but the people with the right ideas never get heard.... its a load of BS

Only problem is, is that like the Bible it has been reworded and rewritten serveral times since then by men who have tried to interject their own agenda. Then there are those who give their interpretation of it whether it be for good or evil.

On the other hand, those who are insecure within themselves, and their beliefs, who have an ego identification in some religion or system, they are the ones who make all the fuss, which others then get reluctantly or unwillingly drug into.

It appears that it doesn't really matter what is true or untrue, that's not what the fuss is about. It's just a good excuse to vent some violence, cash in on something or manipulate some attention or power.

Damn Straight....Religion Sucks IMHO, but I still believe in a god, just don't going forcing down my throat.

well actualy the quraan has never been rewriten... just badly misinterpreted..... its against the laws of islam to even change a single accent... although i am not so sure about the suplimentary books that come with it....

religion IMHO is a faild political sytem in our age... it was good back then when it was needed to unite people togeather but after some time it just split them apart... the idea behind any religion is not the prayer and the dogmatism or what not but it is a standard for rules, regulations and unity.. as mention by others already ... a political system.... but unfortunatly people have other things in mind ... just like ANY other political system..... see.. political ideas like democracy and communisem et all are in esance great ideas but thats all that they are ..... unless somone found a way to rid humanity of greed and lust for power.....

my idea of a perfect world is one where all nations are united under one flag... where all nations are equal and share the same curancy... while sharing this same curancy you wont have to wory about its devaluation if you print too much of it so as you may ditribute it evenly amongst the population of the world... free education and no uper, lower and midle class ppl... all are equal and judged by thier contribution to socity rather than the quantity of thier wealth and riches

but that is just an idea and like religion and politics it will faill because people are gready and power hungry.... we will never learn otherwise.. that is our curse... to destroy what is good and replace it with our ultrabig ego.....

hum maybe the developed contries should develop phycic wepons that instead of killing people it would just make them good people...(remove the greed and power lust viruses from them) .... but on the other hand the military would turn this weapon into a vegetable making weapon

Since the Koran has been in the hands of evil little things called humans for centuries you can guarentee it will have been altered. Being against the laws of islam wouldn't prevent it either. If anyone found proof of alteration they wouldn't dare publish the results for fear of being killed by fanatics.

See, Catholics don't read the bible. Or at least they aren't supposed to. The Bible says things like "thou shalt have no gods before me" and "thou shalt pray to none but the lord thy god" and "no man canst talk to the lord thy god for you except for you".

That pretty much blows out of the water praying to the "Virgin" Mary, the Saints, and the entire concept of Priests and confession.

There's more, but it's much the same. My wife left the Catholic Church when she asked in Catechism class "when do we read the bible" and was told "you can't read the bible, read the book of Catechism". When she insisted they got very angry and said she wouldn't understand it... that only priests can understand it.

Anyway, don't get me started. Paganism is alive and well in the Catholic Church today. Just go to mass and see how many people pray to Mary (a dead woman who had 8 kids AFTER Jesus, and was thus no virgin), St. Jude, St. ****wit, St. Pedophile, and St. Gimme-Some-Money-Now-Cuz-GOD-sure-don't-listen-to-greedy-prayers.

And when you pray to multiple parties... that, my friends is paganism!

Don't get me started on the shocking parallels between Catholic mass and druidic ritual, or on their funerals...
